Itinerary
The following 3-day itinerary starts in Zurich and ends in Lucerne. However, you can start and finish the tour at any other point along the tour.
Day 1 | Zürich – Luzern – Interlaken
Travel duration: 2¾ h

Day 2 | Interlaken – Spiez – Brig – Domodossola (IT) – Locarno

- Scenic trip (Option 1): Take the Treno Gottardo via the Gotthard panorama route directly to Lucerne (year-round)
- Scenic trip (Option 2): Regional train to Bellinzona, from there take the Gotthard Panorama Express via train and boat to Lucerne (April to October)

Do I need any seat reservations?
If you don't take the Treno Gottardo right from Locarno but the Gotthard Panorama Express from Bellinzona, you need an additional seat reservation.
