Intro

The family-run hotel is situated on a plateau in quiet surroundings with great views. Two chalet style buildings offer spacious rooms with sitting area, bathroom, balcony, and mountain view. Near hiking trails and ski slopes. Guests can relax in the sauna and solarium. Children’s playroom, large sunny terrace, restaurant with choice regional specialities.

Description

The Berghaus Arvenbuel was built in 1954. At that time there was only a narrow mountain road to the Arvenbuel. There were 9 guest rooms and shower / toilet. 30 years later, in 1984, the new building was opened with 21 large rooms with balconies. Already in the third Generation it has been run by our family. With much joy and warmth we treat our guests. The hotel has a restaurant with 60 seats, a dining and banquet hall with 80 seats and a large sun terrace with 120 seats. The style of the hotel is rustic with lots of wood. The homely ambience invites you to linger. The rich breakfast buffet are available 4-5 homemade breads. A large selection of cheeses, cold cuts and meat plate with ham, homemade jams, fresh muesli, crunchy cereal varieties and various yogurts, fruit juices are also available.

Chalet style hotel at 1300 m.a.s.l. within a varied hiking trail network of 100 km. Managed by the owners in the 3rd generation. Excellent cuisine nominated for the «Swiss Gastro Award». All dishes are entirely homemade, special herb menus with lovage soup, or tenderloin steaks. International wine list including local wines. Dessert special: plum pie made with nut pastry – for this, the kitchen uses a ton of fresh plums every year!

Getting there

The hotel Arvenbuel is 4 km above the center Amden, at the end of the road. In only 45 minutes from Zurich or Chur Amden can be reached easily by car via the A3 motorway. From the exit Weesen Amden there are exactly 10 km to the Arvenbuel. We have plenty of parking in front of the house and for the hotel guests there is a garage. By public transportation, we are very accessible. All express trains from Zurich to Chur keep in brick bridge, from where the car operating Amden takes you right to our doorstep.
