Atomists. Double Stump
In his series "The Atomists", Orozco uses photographs from sports reports which he overlays with geometric patterns. In "Double Stump", the observer is confronted with images created by sports photographers that capture the same moment of a cricket match but from opposite perspectives. The time overlap of the two images results from the geometric forms that disrupt the visual language but – at the same time – underscore the fact that they mirror one another.
