Run4Hearts

4 hours - for a good deed, for a new personal best, for a good mood, for breathtaking views, for your support!

Run or hike as many laps around the Engelstock in Sattel-Hochstuckli as you can in 4 hours and support the volunteer group of Terre des hommes Valais, Canton Schwyz and thus the children's home "La Maison" in Massongex VS with your energy.

Time frame: Between 10:00-14:00, the marked route can be run or hiked any number of times. It is also possible to start later than 10:00. The last lap must be completed by 14:15.

Route: Engelstock circular route, approx. 5.3km with 170hm

Who is supported:

The TdH Valais association, volunteer group Canton Schwyz collects donations all year round for the children's home "La Maison". This home accommodates children from African countries who need urgent heart surgery or treatment for other serious illnesses in Switzerland. The children are cared for at "La Maison" before and after the operation. After rehabilitation, they are allowed to return to their home country.

Registration:

- Registration is mandatory for all participants.

- Registration deadline: Online registration is open until 8:00 am. If places are available, spontaneous participation is still possible at the start. The number of participants is limited to 200.

- There is no entry fee. Donations in cash or via Twint will be accepted at the start or can be made in advance by bank transfer.

Timekeeping, scoring:

- The organizer will count and record the number of laps run or walked in a maximum of 4 hours. The lap times are not measured.

- The winner is the participant with the most laps run in 4 hours.

Sponsoring:

- All participants will receive a runner's card when they register online and can enter sponsors on it

- Amounts per lap, per kilometer run or walked or even fixed donations are possible. Everything can be recorded on the runner's card.

Arrival, parking, cable car prices:

- We recommend traveling by public transport (bus - stop at "Sattel, Talstation", No. 507 from Biberbrugg or Schwyz; train - to Sattel train station, approx. 5min walk to Sattel Talstaion)

- Car: Parking spaces at the valley station in Sattel. There are no parking spaces on the Mostelberg.

- Revolving cable car to Mostelberg, mountain station: participants who register online receive a price reduction on the cable car ride. Ascent and descent cost CHF 15 for adults and CHF 9 for children. You will receive the ticket for the cable car when you register online.

Catering and sanitary facilities:

- There is a refreshment stand at the Hochstuckli ski lift valley station with water, cola, syrup, bananas, chocolate, salty snacks and cakes (subject to change).

- Additional refreshments can be purchased at the Herrenboden inn or at the Sattel-Hochstuckli mountain station.

- A WC is available at the start area. No showers.

Safety and liability:

-Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. Participation is at your own risk and responsibility. We would like to point out at this point that participation with or directly after an acute infection (e.g. flu with fever, Covid or similar) is very questionable from a health point of view. There is no doctor on the route.

-Appropriate preparation for the charity run is the responsibility of the participant. In addition to training and physical fitness, this also includes appropriate clothing/changing clothes and weather protection.
