The journey begins with the Romans at the bend of the Limmat River, who made Baden famous even then for its thermal springs. It continues into the Middle Ages, when Baden received its city rights and rose to become the unofficial capital of the Swiss Confederation. Engaging anecdotes shared before historic walls reveal how Baden, through the Diets, established its tradition as an important congress venue-a role it proudly maintains to this day.
