Information
Description
Ambience:
This small, crooked hut, made of weathered wood, serves as an Alpine farm in the summer. A TV ad run by Swiss Tourism showing how the Alpine farmers prepare themselves for the tourists has also put the hut on the map for Dutch, English and Italian visitors. The cosy warm hut at Alp Fops is tiny but mighty.
Location:
At an altitude of 1,886 metres at the Piz Scalottas-Tgantieni ski slope, with beautiful views across the entire valley as well as on the Lenzerhorn, Piz Ela, Corn da Tinizong, Piz Mitgel and Piz d’Err.
Cuisine:
It offers a simple farmer’s cuisine with regional produce: from barley soup, dried meat platters, Capuns and Pizokel to fondue. The cheese is mainly fresh from the farm. Their Hüttentee (tea with a shot of rum) and hot chocolates are delicious.
