At Kindercity Volketswil young discoverers and explorers play around with scientific phenomena. This is a place where learning happens – observing, analysing and experimenting.
Inquisitive children have 6,000 square metres on which to explore various different kinds of knowledge. There is the Baby Route, the Chäferli Route for children from 2 to 7 years of age and the Expedition Route for the 6 to 12-year olds. Here, science is presented to the young researchers in an age-appropriate, fun and playful way. Kindercity also boasts a 3D cinema and six factory workshops where the children can pour chocolate, bake bread or even expose a dinosaur skeleton.
On the roof terrace there is a car track, the Edelweiss express train, a bungy jump trampoline and a climbing house. Once the children have quenched their thirst for knowledge, they can satisfy their physical hunger at the restaurant. A new feature of the complex is the Technolino Laboratory, where apprentices impart their technological knowledge to the children.
