Intro
The Olten Art Museum was opened in 1905 and features modern art exhibitions in addition to a collection of works by illustrator Martin Disteli.
The collection focuses on works from Olten-born political illustrator and caricaturist Martin Disteli (1802–1844). Modern works and contemporary Swiss art pieces are also on display. In addition to works by regional artists, the collection also showcases key pieces by avant-garde artists from the 19th and 20th centuries.
The Olten Art Museum also has an art guide available, which takes visitors on various tours of the public works of art on display in Olten. The guide is available free of charge at the art museum, the Olten tourist office and town hall.
