Chörbschhorn
Overview
Intro
In winter the Chörbschhorn is a famous summit for ski tours. By bike it is a breathtaking tour with a high proportion of single trails.
Description
From the Tourism and Sports Centre at Davos Platz the route begins by heading in the direction of Davos Dorf along the valley road (Talstrasse). At the river Schiabach we branch off to the left and begin the climb up to the Schatzalp. Initially the road is asphalted, but after crossing the promenade and reaching the last few houses, it becomes a wide track.
From the Schatzalp the track continues in the direction of Bürschalp. After the Büschalp the trail becomes very steep. Before we reach the Höhenweg, we branch off to the left to reach the Strela Pass along the panoramic trail. The whole way you enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains of Davos. From the Strela Pass a wonderful single trail takes us across the Latschüelfurgga to the Chörbschhorn hut. Anyone still fit enough at this stage has the opportunity to climb up to the summit of the Chörbschhorn on foot. The view is beautiful.
After the Chörbschhorn hut comes the highlight of the tour. A technically demanding single trail downhill run to the Stafelalp. From the Stafelalp we finally return to Davos via Frauenkirch.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
