Distance 4 km
Duration 1 h 6 min
At 374 metres, the Skywalk is one of Europe’s longest pedestrian suspension bridges, 58 metres above the Lauitobel Gorge. To avoid crossing the bridge again when returning, you can take the path (signposted “der Pfad”) towards Herrenboden, which focuses on the forces of nature.
The colourful revolving gondolas, which have been in operation since 2005, turn twice on their own axes on the ascent to the Mostelberg.
In summer, there’s lots of fun for children at the Mostelberg upper station with its attractive bouncy castle, trampoline and large digger. This is also the start of the channel for the summer togoggan run with its tunnels and steep-walled bends.
Hikers and walkers are drawn to Europe’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge. There are various circular trails starting from the other side of the gorge, including “der Pfad”, which leads across the Halsbann up to the summit and back down to Herrenboden.
Walkers experience the forces of nature at work, and their effects can be observed at various natural power spots – Stone Circles, Stone Gate, Stone Vein Path, Tree, Yin-Yang. Each staging point has detailed descriptions and illustrations. The route is signed as no. 3 (green).
