Intro

In 2014, Simone Ragusa was named Swiss master sommelier of the year. Today, you can find him in the “Il Forziere del Vino” wine cellar.

  •

The wine cellar is the perfect locale for wine tastings and first-rate gastronomic events. It is located in the historic Hotel Splendide Royal in Lugano, where a famous tasting was held in 1981 in honour of the fifty-year anniversary of the Merlot culture in Ticino. The stylishly appointed cellar houses around 500 of the best wines from around the world. Simone Ragusa knows the histories of the various wines and loves to share them at exclusive private events.
