All cycling routes in Bern

From Bern the Napf-Bike route leads over the Mänziwilegg and Moosegg vantage points with wonderful views of the peaceful Emmental hills and the Alpine chain. Destination lovely Langnau, centre of the Emmental.

Discover the Swiss capital from an entirely new perspective. This route starts and ends at the river Aare and takes you round the southern part of Bern and its quiet, picturesque scenery and villages.

After the capital city, a perspiring pedal over the gentle crest of the Längenberg, spectacular views of the Alps, large, well-to-do farmsteads, a deep and steep landscape, the wild, foaming Schwarzwasser.

Between Bern and Luzern lies the lovely rolling landscape of the Emmental, as if made for mountain biking tours. The high point is the Napf with unforgettable panoramic views.

Ride from the historic capital city through the Wangen Valley full of industry and commerce, then head straight for the Sense and follow the river to Laupen with its magnificent castle. Pass by fields and woodlands across the Biberen plateau towards Kerzers.

Perfect trio at Wohlensee: bird paradise, power station and nuclear reactor. Follow the Aare into Seeland, a giant vegetable garden thanks to the Hagneckkanal. Behind reeds and woodland, the Bielersee hints at the happy hustle and bustle in bilingual Biel-Bienne.

To the east more rippled, to the west a little flatter. Streams cut their way through lush milk country. Constantly surprising views - of Lac de la Gruyère, the medieval hill town of Romont and an awe-inspiring Alpine panorama.
