Riding alongside the Rhine, you pass the St. Katherinatal Monastery, then head to countryside, to the timber-framed buildings at Stammheim. Surprisingly we have repeated panoramic views of the Alps. Apple trees increase in numbers, the Bodensee is not far off.

The wine route of East Switzerland leads from Schaffhausen to St. Gallen, through vineyards, past scenic sights and picturesque villages. Cosy inns and restaurants invite you to take a break along the way, including a feast for your taste buds.

This cross-border route takes you through the diverse Reiat, past Hemishofen and back to the Munot town, Schaffhausen. The focus of this route is one of Europe's most scenic countrysides along the Rhine.

Via the Rhine Falls and Jestetten (Germany) and forested Rossberg into the sunny area of Klettgau, the largest vineyard area in Canton Schaffhausen. On through the pretty villages of Osterfingen, Wilchingen and Trasadingen and along the vineyards to Hallau. A glass of wine is a must.

The first highlight of the tour awaits shortly after the start: the thundering waters of the Rhine Falls never cease to amaze visitors of all ages.
