You wander in subterranean rooms through authentic mountain huts and hear the wind roaring on the mountain: the museum of Zermatlantis in the heart of the village lets visitors immerse themselves in the adventurous events that took place on the Matterhorn. And it narrates a great deal about the thrilling and turbulent history of the world-famous mountain, from its African origin to the dramatic first ascent, till the present day.
Subsequently, it is clear to all: the world-famous emblem of Switzerland is not just famous thanks to a distinctive summit, but due to the alpinists that continuously sought out new challenges along its flanks.
