Laucheren-Schlittelweg
Overview
Intro
Sledging fans of all ages get their money's worth on the machine-groomed Laucheren toboggan run. They'll need to adapt their technique constantly to cope with the alternating steep and flat passages. On the leisurely sections, they can enjoy a wonderful view of Oberiberg.
Description
Athletic sledgers pull their toboggans up to the starting point, while the Laucheren chairlift offers an easier way to the top. The toboggan run at the foot of the Laucherenstöckli starts right next to the chairlift's mountain station.
The run is fast-paced and demanding at first but becomes flatter and more leisurely in the second half, so there's plenty of time to enjoy the clear view of Oberiberg village as you slide straight towards it. Beautiful gliding stretches without too many bends also make the run attractive for families. In the bottom section below the Buoffenalp, the course runs parallel to the ski slope. It ends with a tunnel and a short, steep slope leading back to the chairlift's valley station. After the fun, there are three restaurants with sun terraces where sledgers can recover or build up their strength for the next run.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
