Introducción
Switzerland is known for its pioneering spirit in railroad construction. The steam railroad between Kaltbad and Rigi Scheidegg was the highest adhesion railroad in Europe when it was completed.
The history of the Rigi-Scheidegg Railway is duly celebrated over two weekends: Ride on a steam locomotive, special exhibition in the mountain restaurant, festivities The installation and operation of the steam locomotive over a length of 100 meters on Rigi Scheidegg not only makes the hearts of railroad fans beat faster.
The special exhibition "150 years of the Rigi-Scheidegg Railway" in the Rigi Scheidegg mountain restaurant shows lots of interesting facts in three themed areas with photos, portraits, documents, objects etc. and is a real treasure trove for young and old alike. The festivities in the grounds, in the mountain restaurant and in the alpine kiosk ensure that visitors can linger in comfort.
