Theatre play "Iris et moi"
Overview
Intro
This play by the troupe Push-Up is being performed at Haute-Nendaz as part of the project Culture on Tour backed by the municipality of Nendaz.
A woman in her thirties decides to follow in the footsteps of a Swiss feminist from the 1950s, Iris von Roten, a woman she admires but knows little about. She discovers the story of a woman and a man (Peter von Roten) who inspire her more than she could have ever imagined.
Through her research and the process of creating the show, in the manner of an essay on herself, investigator Pauline Epiney, accompanied by her partner Fred Mudry, tells her own love story, her fears and desires woven into the mirrored love story of Iris and Peter.
It's a sometimes offbeat tale of fragility, sensuality and extravagance. All sprinkled with humour and music.
