国際オリンピック委員会（IOC）本部のあるローザンヌに1993年開館したオリンピックの殿堂。開館10周年におこなわれた大規模拡張工事を経て、2013年12月にリニューアルオープンしました。過去のオリンピックのすべて、スポーツの歴史と数々の感動の瞬間がつまった世界唯一のオリンピック博物館。スイス旅行の際にはぜひ訪れたいスポットです。

This magnificent country park boasts one of the best vantage points in Lausanne. But the panoramic views are by no means the only attribute that attracts visitors. There is a tree here that is worth a visit all on its own. This is a unique weeping willow, situated some 50 metres from the manor house, that was planted in the middle of the 19th century.

ローザンヌ北部にある緑豊かな森林公園。2005年に完成した高さ35mの木造の見晴らし塔は、ローザンヌの森の木々を材料につくられました。151段の階段をあがれば、レマン湖やアルプス山脈、ジュラ山脈などを見渡す大パノラマが楽しめます。塔の利用は無料。小さな湖のほとりには、レストランもあり、週末にはいつも多くの人でにぎわっている市民の憩いの場所です。市内からバスで約30分。気軽に足をのばせるスポットです。

1841年、州都であるローザンヌに開館したヴォー州立美術館は、スイス屈指の歴史を誇る美術館のひとつです。 2019年にリュミーヌ宮から旧国鉄の車庫を使った芸術複合センター『プラットフォーム10』に移転。新装オープンした美術館では、ヴォー州にゆかりのある芸術家の作品を中心に1万点を超える芸術作品を収蔵しており、まざまな特別展を開催しています。

薬学生のためにつくられた薬草園を中心に、ヴォー州に生育する幅広い植物を保存、研究するために1824年に設立された州立植物園。アルプス山脈やジュラ山脈の岩石を持ち込み自然の植生をできるだけ忠実に再現し、高山植物や水生植物など約6000種の植物を栽培しており、春から秋にかけて四季折々に美しい花々が楽しめます。

Every couple of minutes, a train from Lausanne-Ouchy by Lake Geneva runs almost silently uphill to the SBB railway station and onwards via the city centre (Flon) to Epalinges-Croisettes. The fully automated Métro trains are remotely controlled and spend half their time underground.

The bell tower of the Gothic cathedral, high on the hill on which the Old Town is built, is home to the city’s most enigmatic resident.

Set in the heart of Lausanne, the Flon area has evolved in recent years into a modern and innovative district which pulsates both day and night.

The Old Town of Lausanne has imposing buildings dating back to the Middle Ages, such as the famous Cathedral of Notre-Dame. The charming city on Lake Geneva has a lot to offer otherwise as well. For instance, Switzerland's first subterranean mountain train.

In Western Switzerland, the scavenger hunt is available in Lausanne and Jura. The fox invites you to search for tricky clues in both the Olympic capital and the hilly Jura. Participants must have all their wits about them and use various means of transport to keep up with the fox.

Lausanne is not only the Olympic capital, but also the second-largest city on Lake Geneva. With its harbour district and lakeside promenade, it offers the ideal balance between urban hustle and bustle and relaxation by the lake.
