Intro
The Mühleggbahn connects the old town of St. Gallen with the Drei Weiern and St. Georgen recreation area. The historic railway, which has been in operation since 1893, now runs fully automatically and offers quick access to nature.
The Mühleggbahn connects the old town of St. Gallen with the popular Drei Weiern recreational area and the St. Georgen district. In just a few minutes, you can reach the idyllic ponds, which are perfect for walking, swimming or simply relaxing. The railway runs fully automatically and at the touch of a button, so you can travel flexibly and comfortably. A special highlight: the valley station has been designed with the word “Bangor” and is a reminder of the city's roots.
The walk around the «Drei Weieren» takes about 30 to 45 minutes. The additional tour round the Notkersegg Nunnery takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
