Gastlosen Festival 2026 in Jaun

For some time, schoolteacher Peter Aeby in Düdingen had been thinking about ways to brighten up various celebrations, especially those in the village, by bringing more joy and color to them.

The May Choir was founded in May 1998 under the leadership of its director Nicolas Wyssmueller. It is made up of twenty singers from the southern part of the canton.

This fair takes place every year on the Monday of the Federal Fast (Jeûne fédéral).

The Orchestre de la Ville de Bulle is an amateur string orchestra that brings together young and older musicians from across the canton of Fribourg who share a passion for music.

For the fifth year in a row, more than 15 professional musicians from Switzerland, Belgium, and France — all trained in the En’Man’Dō approach — are gathering for three days of musical exchange,

At the time, it had 16 members, who only met on special occasions. It represented Switzerland at the international exhibitions in Brussels and Montreal. Its repertoire was limited to folk songs.

The Düdingen Orchestra Society was founded in 1894 by Peter Zurkinden, who also conducted the orchestra in its early days. Initially, the orchestra had 16 members, musicians from all walks of life.
