Our wedding day was a beautiful event held at the Hamilton Lodge Belalp in Wallis. The wedding brought together family and friends from all around the world with 20 people coming over from as far as Australia and Zimbabwe for the celebrations. The Lodge had an intimate feel with most guests staying for 3 nights for a weekend full of celebrations and time together. The venue let us customise the menu and decorations for the wedding which allowed us to add our own personal touch.

The Lodge also overlooks the Swiss Alps and it was a magical moment when half an hour before the ceremony the fog lifted and the stunning views across the valley appeared for the first time that day. We were all blown away by the scenery and the ceremony could not have been more perfect. We are eternally grateful for the people that have made the weekend so special, including our celebrant Simone Gori from lovelywords.ch, who delivered an incredibly personal and moving ceremony in English. Simone was able to combine both of our cultures in one ceremony celebrating our love. Our musician, Silas Kutschman, performed songs throughout the ceremony, working in unison with our celebrant and bringing guests to tears with his beautiful voice and skillful guitar and piano playing.

The photos have so beautifully captured the special moments that we shared with one another, as well as with our friends and family. Yannick Zurflueh and his partner Martina Erne went above and beyond as our wedding photographers and we cannot thank them enough for the wonderful photos.

Switzerland offered us a central location which allowed our guests to attend from all around the world. The venue that we chose offered the unmatched scenery and breathtaking mountain views that Switzerland is known for, as well as the option of customising our wedding package to fit our needs. We could not fault our wedding experience in any way, all of our guests had no problems arriving via international airports and connecting trains and the experience and memories that we all have will last a lifetime.
