The Casa Parrocchiale, a former parsonage in Ticino stone building style, stands on the edge of the village of Aurigeno (Ticino, Switzerland) next to the church. It is easily accessible by public transport.The functional Ticino house is particularly suitable for schools as a base for school camps, scout camps, family camps, climbing groups and hiking groups. Minimum stay is 3 nights. Not suitable for parties.
There is a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering, a dining room, 60 beds in 7 rooms on 2 floors. On the mezzanine floors there are showers and toilets. In addition, there is a lounge in the converted attic.
Outside the house there is a large playground (approx. 2000m²) with table tennis tables, barbecue house with a big grill and nice garden seats. Parking place directly at the house.
Aurigeno is situated on the right bank of the Maggia River in the Maggia Valley, at 341m a.s.l. and about 13 km from Locarno.
The village is an ideal starting point for great walks in untouched, unspoilt nature. The wonderful Maggia river landscape, only 10 minutes walk from the group accommodation, invites you to swim and have a barbecue.
The climbing walls of Ponte Brolla, hiking trails, the cultural diversity of the Maggia Valley, various attractions, mountain railways, open-air swimming pools on Lake Maggiore, Locarno, Ascona, the proximity to Italy with its diverse markets, as well as the adventure pools in Locarno and Riviera for rainy days leave no wishes unfulfilled for groups.
