Intro

The Swiss city of Kreuzlingen and its German counterpart Constance hug the straits that lead from the Rhine River into Lake Constance.

Both cities are home to interesting Old Towns, with narrow streets and quaint shops and eateries. Constance is famous in Christian history as the home of two important pre-Reformation church councils. The first, in the early 15th century, ended the Great Schism and settled the matter of who would be the official pope. The second, in 1497, attempted to rid the clergy of corruption and immoral behavior.
