From the confluence of the Rhine Rivers to the Rhine Gorge

Intro
From Reichenau, the confluence of the Vorderrhein- and Hinterrhein (Upper and Lower Rhine), the path leads along the Vorderrhein into the wild Rhine Gorge. It takes you to Trin Station and the 100-meter long suspension bridge across the Rhine.
Description
It all began 10,000 years ago. Between the Flimserstein (a high plateau) and Piz Grisch over 10,000 million cubic metres of rock broke off and thundered down into the valley. Towards Reichenauhe the Upper Rhine Valley disappears under a gigantic mass of debris. From there the Rhine got to work, eating greedily through the rock and creating the spectacular Swiss 'Grand Canyon' - the Ruinaulta.
The new path leads along the Vorderhein from Reichenau into the wild Rhine Gorge up to Trin Station. Here a 100-meter long suspension bridge spans the Rhine River. After a short steep ascent you can walk through Bonaduzer Forest to the viewing platform at Wackenau. Continuing in the direction of Bonaduz you return to Reichenau.
Families and connoisseurs have the opportunity to return to Reichenau by taking the train at Trin Station.
Schlosshotel Adler, a castle hotel in Reichenau, serves local culinary specialties and fine wine.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
