Entre los cinco puentes del Rin en Basilea operan los cuatro transbordadores «Wilde Maa», «Leu», «Vogel Gryff» y «Ueli», que permiten atravesar el Rin sin motor y sólo por la fuerza de la corriente fluvial. Este modo de transporte no sólo encanta a los turistas sino que también es empleado frecuentemente por los habitantes de la ciudad.
