Alpenrösli Trail
Overview
Intro
Hiking through snow-covered fields up to the Alpenrösli mountain restaurant and back to Klosters Platz. This beautiful snowshoe hike with gorgeous views is a treat both for the eyes and for the palate.
Description
Klosters is a picture-perfect holiday resort: a smart, chalet-style village with authentic traditions and lots of charm, as you will find out on the snowshoe tour along the Alpenrösli trail. It starts just above the Catholic church at the Heid in Klosters Platz.
The trail first takes you approximately 250 altitude meters uphill. It continues along Talbach creek for a while, before it climbs via Madrals and Pardels to the highest point, the beautifully situated Alpenrösli mountain restaurant at 1458 m. From its sunny terrace you can see all across Klosters while enjoying local delicacies.
To return, the trail leads across meadows down to Riedmad and then slightly uphill along the edge of the village and back to Talbach creek. It follows the creek for the last section. Trees and residential homes are bordering the meadows on the way back to the starting point.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
