Whether as a long-distance hike or in stages over several days, the Waldstätterweg hiking trail allows hikers to re-discover the heart of Switzerland. Discover the scenic and cultural landscape with its historical sites, villages and the city of Lucerne – all on foot. The path follows the lake, along the shore, on mountain hiking trails and urban promenades, and also includes historical paths, such as the Felsenweg at the Bürgenstock. Combined with the Swiss Path (hiking route 99), the hike around Lake Lucerne can be done in 9 days.
