Overview
Intro
2-Day High-Altitude Touring Course in the Alpstein - Safe Travel in the Snow
For a high-altitude mountaineering course, you don't need rugged glaciers or 4,000-meter peaks, but rather plenty of unrestricted terrain, transitions, and wild mountains. You'll find all of this around Säntis. In this course, certified IVBV mountain guide Bruno Bösch will teach you how to behave and move on glaciers, first aid techniques for crevasse rescue including rope and knot techniques, and everything else that goes into a well-planned high-altitude tour.
During the guided ski & splitboard tour, what you've learned will be applied in a realistic setting.
At the end of the course, you will receive the SWISS MOUNTAIN TRAINING Winter 2 certificate from the Swiss Mountain Guide Association. A prerequisite for obtaining the SMT Winter 2 is the SMT Winter 1.
