The Musée du Léman welcomes you to discover : The Experts of Lake Geneva - season 4
You can live on its shores, drink its water, dive into its seagrass beds and swim, paddle or boat across it. We also observe its fish, admire the ballet of its birds and marvel at its grandiose landscapes. But do we really know Lake Geneva?
Since the first pioneering studies in the 19th century, one scientist after another has been trying to decipher how it works. Thanks to innovative and sometimes unprecedented techniques, the largest lake in Western Europe is gradually revealing some of its secrets to specialists.
Did you know that there are tides on Lake Geneva? That more than 70 species of birds breed there? That it is criss-crossed by canyons and craters? That global warming could change the way it works?
**In the museum, every two months, passionate experts challenge preconceived ideas and offer you an enlightened lecture in a language that is accessible to all.**
