Overview
This hike from the Glarus Alps to the Bernese Oberland leads through some of the "wildest" mountain regions in Switzerland. The Alps Urnerboden and Engstlenalp lie idyllically on your way. For innumerable years, alpine dairymen have been bringing their cows to graze in summer here and have been farming these traditional Alps. While the Alps lie almost untouched in front of you, some passes make this hiking tour a demanding undertaking. Certainly one of the most beautiful hiking tours in Switzerland.
