Brown and Silver II
The US-American Jackson Pollock is a representative of abstract Expressionism. He was famous for his innovative method of spraying paint onto canvas lying on the floor and letting it drop. The painting at the Kunstmuseum Bern was also created in this way. For Pollock it is the artist’s duty to express energy, movement and inner power.
