Due to popular demand—and since many people missed the first exhibition because of vacation—TYA + RIZZBERT are once again presenting their works through October 10, 2026.
In their shared studio in Lucerne, they have created new works that differ in style, approach, and painting technique, yet are united by a common theme: the human being caught between external perception and personal identity.
In TYA’s portrait series “Silent Rebels,” symbolic elements such as the smoldering cigarette shape the visual language. “Never Recorded” depicts fictional characters from an era shaped by funk and soul. The protagonists from “Shadow City” appear as if they’ve stepped out of a classic film noir.
With the “Censored” series, the artist RIZZBERT places icons of contemporary history in a new context. Distinctive censorship bars obscure parts of their faces, creating a tension that leaves room for individual interpretations.
