Der Film erzählt die Culture-Clash-Geschichte zwischen einem Schweizer Bergdorf und einem indischen Guru, der durch die Beatles bekannt wurde. Die Ankunft von Maharishi Mahesh Yogi und seiner spirituellen Bewegung sorgte im katholisch geprägten Bauerndorf in den 1970er-Jahren für rote Köpfe. Der Film zeichnet diese überraschende Geschichte von der Ankunft bis zur Gegenwart und Zukunft Seelisbergs erstmals gesamthaft nach.
