GUIDED TOURS

Guided tours of the exhibition led by a watchmaking expert

WATCHMAKING WORKSHOPS

Led by the Geneva Watchmaking School, these introductory watchmaking workshops allow participants to delve into the inner workings of a watch by experimenting with watchmaking techniques such as assembly, beveling, and pin setting.

Wednesdays at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. (60 min). Open to all ages 10 and up.

1- “Learn to Tell Time,” ages 4–6

Three combined activities designed for students aged 10 to 16 (8th grade and middle school):

- Introductory watchmaking workshop (45 min). This workshop offers an immersive look into the inner workings of a watch by exploring three key watchmaking techniques: assembly, beveling, and pivoting.

- “Gears” Workshop (45 min). Using an educational kit that includes a sophisticated gear train assembly, and guided by science educators, students discover basic concepts such as force, speed, leverage, energy and information transmission, and watchmaking.

- Guided tour of the exhibition of 84 timepieces (45 minutes). Led by a watchmaking expert, students will discover the excellence of contemporary watchmaking creations preselected by the GPHG Academy.
