Special Screening: Anders Anders - What Unites Us
Overview
Intro
What holds Switzerland together if there is no such thing as a “typical” Swiss identity? Director Hao Hohl’s new film explores origins, home, language, and a sense of belonging.
Following her success with *Suddenly Homesick*, starting October 22, she guides viewers through a mosaic of moments exploring a sense of belonging and what connects people—and what excludes them.
On her cinematic journey, the director accompanies people who navigate the world of dialects, cultures, and traditions. Some have lost their homeland, others carry a heavy family legacy, and still others feel like strangers in their own country. What they all share is a quiet restlessness—a feeling that’s probably familiar to anyone who has ever felt like they didn’t quite belong.
Hao Hohl herself will be present at this special screening, along with the cast and crew, and will offer a behind-the-scenes look. Following the screening, there will be an opportunity to talk with the director and the cast and crew.
