Intro
The Thun Water Magic—a unique experience on Lake Thun featuring impressive water fountains, light shows, and music that create magical moments.
The Thun Water Magic show will take place daily from September 25 to October 25, 2026, regardless of the weather. There are two different shows. Each day, one of the two shows will be performed at 7:30 p.m., and the other at 9:15 p.m. The event has no age restriction and is free for all visitors. The venue is located in the Aare basin, in front of the Freienhof restaurant in downtown Thun.
Around the venue, you’ll find various food and beverage stands that invite you to linger and socialize. In addition, various special combo deals ensure an unforgettable evening.

Captain Adrian Gfeller takes visitors on an unforgettable steamboat tour across Lake Thun aboard the “Blüemlere.” Local dialect melodies blend with international hits, providing an atmospheric backdrop to the beauty of our region. The water show tells the unique story of the legendary steamboat on Lake Thun—but be careful: unexpected dangers lurk here and there! Let yourself be enchanted by this new water magic show in Thun.
"EDM – Electronic Dance Music"
During the legendary “Selve era,” Thun was considered the epicenter of electronic music. Clubs like the “Nachtwerk” and the “Basis” attracted guests from far beyond the country’s borders. People partied and danced to pulsating beats until the early hours of the morning. “EDM – A Journey Through Electronic Music” brings this special era back to life. From Jean-Michel Jarre to Kraftwerk to Avicii, the creators explore various styles and eras of a fascinating musical world.
