Intro

The charming little town on the Rhine has exciting adventures in store for the whole family. On the interactive city tour with the cunning tailor, visitors of all ages can discover the medieval old town in a playful way. Anyone wanting to experience even more puzzles and adventures can go in search of the treasure chest on the Detective Trail and explore the winding streets of Rheinfelden.

The cunning tailor
In the Middle Ages, Rheinfelden was temporarily occupied by the Swedes. A clever tailor disguised himself as a goat and outwitted the occupiers – and the legend of this cunning tailor lives on to this day.
On this city tour especially developed for children, the tailor, dressed in a goat costume, tells of his heroic deed. The approximately 90-minute tour leads past the carillon, up to the Stork Nest Tower with magnificent views over the city, and finally to the goat enclosure. In this way, children and adults alike can experience the exciting history of Rheinfelden in a playful way.

Detective Trail
On this exciting trail, 14 puzzle stations await the curious young detectives. Children and their parents join Detective Badger to solve tricky puzzles, learning a lot of interesting facts about Rheinfelden along the way.

The tour lasts two to three hours and passes various playgrounds and picnic areas – ideal places to take a break between the solving of puzzles. Whoever successfully solves all the puzzles will receive a numerical code and can use it to open the treasure chest in the city library at the end of the tour. An exciting morning or afternoon for families that combines fun with learning.
