Intro

A 3.4 kilometer-long hike in the path of water - with a circular hike on the Fürenalp.

Witness the beauty and wonders of nature - such as the bubbling mountain streams along the Grotzliweg Fürenalp trail. And if you’re wondering where the name Grotzli comes from - it doesn’t suggest gnomes, instead the young spruce trees that shape this alpine landscape.

The pleasant circular trail amidst the Engelberg Alps also comprises ten different stations that invite you to linger and learn. And on the hike you get to see water in a number of different ways, such as the small Spiegelseeli lake, mountain streams, wells, sinkholes and the biotope - in which numerous creatures such as tadpoles, frogs and salamanders dwell.

Start and finishing point of the refreshing Grotzliweg Fürenalp trail is the top mountain station where you see the Bergrestaurant Fürenalp.
