The idea of keeping our own bees came from a desire to offer our guests homemade honey. At first, the bees lived between the two buildings of our hotel — but they regularly took off, apparently finding the location too dull. Eventually, we entrusted them to beekeeper Peter Roth, who now looks after them. The four bee colonies still belong to us, and their honey — around 60 kilograms a year — is still served at our hotel.

In the Grindelwald Glacier Gorge you can immerse yourself in a world of rock and water. Follow the path deep between 300-meter-high rock faces and test your courage on the spiderweb stretched over the gorge.

The Bodmi recreation area in the heart of Grindelwald is a winter sports paradise where children and adults can enjoy participating in snow sports in a safe environment.

The via ferrata on the Rotstock, 260 metres in length, is a route for via ferrata walkers and experienced mountain walkers with a head for heights (and with the right safety equipment). The key to the climb is the vertical section immediately after the start. In the event of snow, strong rain or ice, this is very definitely not a route to be climbed. Like anywhere else on the Eiger, rock-falls cannot be ruled out.

You drop over 1,000 altitude metres on this downhill run from Männlichen towards Grindelwald and enjoy amazing views of the Bernese Oberland.

The Grindelwald–Männlichen gondola takes you up 1,200 metres in altitude to 2,225 metres in just 19 minutes – with direct views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. At the top, the panorama of the Bernese Oberland awaits.

The White Elements Pro Park is located at the Bärgelegg Ski Lift. The “Playground” offers kickers of various sizes (8-20 meters) as well as numerous boxes and rails in a park measuring 850 meters in length.
