A jewel, our 300 year-old Jura-farmhouse in La Chaux-d'Abel close to La Ferrière (Bernese Jura, Switzerland).
The kitchen is well and functionally equipped. The sitting room with its wonderful tiled stove and its classy interior is very cosy. In addition to the two bedrooms in the residential part we have transformed the former barn into a dormitory with two sections, a separate bedroom, a dining room/common room and a shower/WC. In summer, this makes an ideal group accommodation for schools and scouts. The grounds of this former farmhouse are huge and safe. At a safe distance you watch our mules, highland cattle, woolly pigs and hens roam. The train brings you to La Chaux-de-Fonds, to the Franches Montagnes and to Neuchâtel. The nordic tracks are nearby. Good value skiing in Les Bugnenets-Savagnières and Les Breuleux.
We offer trekking with mules. For your family or corporate event, we offer a Wild/Highland Beef BBQ with farm-raised meat.
The Jura-Pass is included in the overnight price. It offers free travel on the entire Vagabond network of the Canton of Jura to La Chaux-de-Fonds. Accommodation prices are preferential rates for schools and families.
