Description

The Romantik Hotel "Bären", consisting of three historic Emmental buildings from the late Baroque period, forms an architectural monument of national importance in this ensemble with the late Gothic church and the village square. "Where tradition is modern...". Today's Bären combines history and contemporary hospitality to create an enjoyable experience for you. In the Kreuz guesthouse opposite, there are 24 hotel rooms and 7 suites.

The workplace of Emmental writer Jeremias Gotthelf, the buildings, which date back to 1752 (the inn), 1806 (the “Kreuz” guesthouse) and 1744 (the fully restored seminar suite, a protected structure) are full of history, hospitality and haute cuisine.

Historic Restaurant of the Year 2000 The origins of the Gasthof Bären in Dürrenroth, Berne date back to the year 1752. The building, which is on the former thoroughfare to Huttwill, is the embodiment of late Baroque style. It features a timber frame faced with tiny wooden shingles and is painted in an olive green reminiscent of stonework.

Our 3 seminar rooms "Toufi-Stube", "Sichlete-Stube" and the Belle Epoque room are located on the second floor of the "Bären" restaurant. State-of-the-art infrastructure, accommodated in various large rooms, ideal for your seminar or your next conference. We offer you the right venue and supporting program.
