Description
The Ligurian coast in Italy is also known as “La Riviera”. It stretches from the French border to the foothills of Tuscany along the Gulf of Genoa. In particular, the parts of the Riviera di Ponente, in the area around Sanremo, are known as the “Riviera dei Fiori” (Riviera of flowers) because of the characteristic fields of flowers, palm trees and olive groves. It has been both home and a source of inspiration for our family for 50 years and therefore has a deeper significance for us. In 2015, we named our new restaurant “Riviera” in tribute to the old homeland and to underline the southern flair of Spiez Bay.
The Riviera by Elio invites you to a world of indulgence and relaxation. This is a world that strives to demonstrate dedication, care and thoughtfulness at all times. It allows us to get away from everyday life, while also heightening our senses in the most wonderful way. In this world, a smile is all it takes to make you happy, and a gesture to help you make a decision. At Riviera by Elio, this world is characterised by its fine wines, great cuisine and friendly service. We cover everything from the traditional to the unusual, whether that’s pizza, pasta, fish, meat, frutti di mare or a vegetarian dish: it is a privilege and a pleasure for us to be able to spoil our guests with creative and varied offerings all year round.
