This two-day overnight offer has you hiking in the middle of nature in the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch, past flowering Alpine meadows, through cool forests and across marshy moorland.
The first day of the hike treats you to magnificent views of Beichlengfähl all the way to Hilfernthal. Not long into the hike, you can enjoy a hearty early morning snack provided by the Schöpfer family in Hof Eygrat. Once you are back on the route heading in the direction of Beichlengfähl, it’s worth making a short detour along the high mountain trail to Beichlenkreuz. The view is fantastic. From here, you can see the surrounding mountains including the Bernese Alps and Jura mountain range.
You will be staying overnight with the Wicki family in the Stotzig-Dorbach B"B, who will spoil you with a delicious dinner. There you will get a taste of the simple life of a mountain farmer, one without any luxury, which nature more than makes up for with a fantastic diversity of flora and a romantic sunset. On the second day, you set off after your alpine breakfast via the Hilfernpass through a moorland to Flühli. It’s worth stopping off for some natural kneipping in Schwandalpweiher – this will swiftly revive your aching feet.
