Engiadina Bassa
Overview
Intro
On the sunny side of the Lower Engadine valley the route follows the Inn through colourful alpine meadows and well-preserved Engadine villages. Thanks to very good public transport connections in the area, stage distances can be adapted as required.
Description
The route takes you down the valley through the Lower Engadine from Susch on the Flüela Pass to the border village of Martina. Along the way you pass well-preserved Romansh villages with typical Engadine houses. Beautiful places along the way keep enticing you to take a break.
Along the way, on the sunny, north side of the valley, the route leads through specimen-rich dry grasslands and terraced landscapes. Opposite rise the impressive Lower Engadine Dolomites. In Ardez and Ramosch, for instance, the route leads past areas of particular importance for flora and fauna.
The route, running along forest roads and single tracks, is easy to ride on and suitable for families. The stages can be put together to suit your requirements. All villages in the Lower Engadine offer places to eat and drink or spend the night as well as connections to the public transport network.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
