Nendaz-Barrage de Cleuson Bike
Overview
Intro
With its spectacular views and turquoise waters the Cleuson Dam makes an excellent hiking destination.
Description
The path between Nendaz and Siviez passes mainly through forest land. As you pass by the «Mayen de Sofleu» (mountain chalets) admire the magnificent view over the Alps and the Rhone Valley.
When you arrive at the car park in Siviez, follow the right bank of the Printse river (as it flows). The tarmac road then turns into a gravel track leading to the foot of the dam. A couple of hairpin bends and a short tunnel allow you to reach the dam wall 87 metres higher. On foot you can then cross the dam wall and admire the charming St Barthélémy chapel.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
