Plastic and aesthetic surgery
Plastic surgery is used to change or restore the shape of certain parts of the body.
The reasons for this may be aesthetic or cosmetic: these types of cosmetic procedures include breast enlargements, eye lifts, nose corrections, face lifts or liposuction. Non-invasive procedures include botox treatments or wrinkle fillers, for example. Reconstructive procedures are performed for functional reasons, such as following surgery for breast cancer, burns or in cases of cleft palate. In every case, the procedures require a high degree of microsurgical precision.
