As a woman who is successfully forging her own path in a male-dominated field, Barbara Buser is a role model for the younger generation, who are fighting for a more sustainable, fairer world. Winner of all major architecture prizes worldwide, the visionary is in demand at all research centers at universities and technical colleges in Switzerland and around the world.
Barbara Buser is a pioneer of sustainability and impresses with her foresight, her determination and her irrepressible creative power. She has sustainably transformed areas, public spaces, houses and squares in Winterthur, Basel and Zurich - to name just a few places - into lively and forward-looking meeting places.
She was awarded the Meret Oppenheim Prize in 2020. She studied at the ETH and worked in cooperation with the Technical University in Sudan and Tanzania before she began to realize her visions for future construction in Switzerland.
