We present an unvarnished cross-section and the consequences of carelessness: across 100 m², we display an archive of everyday objects that have been tossed aside.

While the riverbank has become a dumping ground for many, we at Rheingeworfen use diving and snorkeling to recover the traces of indifference that have been left behind or discarded directly into the river.
From September 2 to 7, 2026, we’ll present an unvarnished cross-section and the toll of this carelessness at the kHaus Basel Forum: across 100 m², we’ll display an archive of everyday objects thrown into the river, as well as unique finds in the “Upfloating” style by RheinKunst. Every object tells its own story.
