Welche Musik beruhigt die Seele? Ein Choral von Johann Sebastian Bach ist dafür vielleicht kein schlechter Anfang. Trotz ihrer kompositorischen Meisterschaft und harmonischen Komplexität wirkt Bachs Musik zugleich kräftigend und beruhigend – ähnlich dem Gefühl nach einem tiefen, befreienden Seufzer. Einatmen und Ausatmen. In seinen Werken hinterliess Bach teils verschlüsselte Zahlenmuster, die von manchen als Zahlenmystik interpretiert werden. Oft wird damit jedoch Schabernack getrieben, und es wird mehr hineininterpretiert als ursprünglich beabsichtigt.
