«Bela Vista», as this 800-metre ascent suggest, is rewarded with stunning views.
Description
The tour begins at the Savognin mountain cableways and first leads through the village on a paved road. The baroque church Son Martegn that dominates the village is a sight to see, particularly the painting of the ceiling inside is a highlight.
At the edge of the forest the trail begins and takes us to the highest point of the tour. The lower part is a bit steeper, but it gets flatter in the top third. Just above the edge of the forest is Alp Tarvisch. The views far down the valley all the way to Lenzerheide are spectacular. Those who wish to explore some more can then leave the described path near Motta Tscharnoz and take a worthwhile detour to the overlook at Alp Tscharnoz. Piz Mitgel, Tinzerhorn, Piz Ela and many other mountains are visible from here.
The downhill is a nice, flowing, sometimes challenging single trail through the forest, which more than makes up for the strenuous ascent. Finally, turning onto the forest road again the route returns to Savognin.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
